Outcome

A Statement of Attainment. Selected units - Apply chemicals under supervision (AHCCHM201A), Prepare and apply chemicals (AHCCHM303A), Transport, handle and store chemicals (AHCCHM304A). Participants will also receive a ChemCert Card.

Prerequisites

You must wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

Location

At the Hobart, Launceston, Burnie and Smithton training facilities.

Cost

$350 per person. Reaccreditation: $200 per person.

ChemCert is a nationally recognised course delivering compentencies in chemical safety and handling.  ChemCert is suitable for people who use agricultural and veterinary chemicals as part of their normal work duties.

Participants will learn:

About the safe handling, storage and use of chemicals as required for the issue of a DPIPWE Spray Operator Certificate of Competency.  Successful completion of this course will satisfy these certificates requirements as well as QA audit requirements.

Reaccreditation: ChemCert accreditation is valid for 5 years.  Participants must undergo reaccreditation within 12 months of their certificate expiring.  If not renewed within this timeframe participants will be required to complete the full two day workshop at the full cost.  Reaccreditation participants must undergo a self-paced reaccrediation process.
