This training is designed for employees who are required to operate self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) whilst working in confined spaces or in emergencies, such as retrieving persons from dangerous situations. This course covers the correct procedures to wear and use this equipment.

Participants will learn:

  • About the safe use, selection, operation and servicing of SCBA.
  • About the contents of the atmosphere.
  • About hazardous environments.
  • About SCBA components and pre-operational checks.
  • Safe working practices.
  • Search and rescue techniques.
