This course is designed to assist farm owners and managers to develop and implement a comprehensive safety plan that will comply with the regulations and standards of the Tasmanian Workplace Health and Safety Act. Participants will have a one day onsite assessment to implement policies and audits.

Participants will learn:

  • Elements of OH&S legislation and understand Duty of Care.
  • To develop policies and procedures specific to their business.
  • Risk management, record keeping and incident/accident reporting.
  • About farm audits and hazard identification.
  • Standard operating procedures and special policies including “tagging out” and
    using chemicals.
