Outcome

A Statement of Attainment. Selected units “Solve Basic Problems in Photovoltaic Energy Apparatus” (UEENEEK025C), “Design Grid Connected Power Supply Systems” (UEENEEK035C), "“Install, Configure and Commission Grid Connected PV Power Systems” (UEENEEK048A). Successful participants will be able to apply for Clean Energy Council D&I Accreditation.

Prerequisites

You must be an electrician with an A Grade licence. You must supply your own wet weather gear and Personal Protective Equipment including boots, glasses and sun protection. Bring a USB drive and a scientific calculator. Any tools needed in practical sessions will be provided.

Location

At your workplace or the Claremont, Alanvale and Burnie training facilities.

This short course is suitable for electricians who: Hold a contracting licence or work for a contractor; want to apply for BCSE accreditation; or have customers wanting to receive Solar Credits. It includes practical installations of Photovoltaic systems conducted using industry standard hardware. Learn via a combination of workshops at our training facilities, study at home and project work.

Participants will learn:

  • To take part in several Grid Connect installs on specially constructed roof modules.
  • About solar panels, inverters and other Grid Connect hardware.
