Outcome

A Statement of Attainment. Selected unit “Operate Elevating Work Platform” (RIIHAN301A). A Statement of Attendance.

Prerequisites

You must be 18 years of age or over for Worksafe Australia accreditation. You must supply your own protective work wear (safety boots) for the practical assessment.

Location

At your work site or at the Clarence, Alanvale and Burnie training facilities.

Cost

$340 per person.

Duration

One day.

The purpose of this course is to provide the underpinning knowledge and skills to safely operate a boom type elevated work platform. It will prepare the participant for Worksafe Australia certification requirements.

Participants will: 

  • Perform pre-operation checks.
  • Perform site job planning.                                
  • Set up an EWP.
  • Operate an EWP.
  • Shut down an EWP.

Participants are able to apply for a Licence to operate a boom type elevated work platform as issued by the state regulator under the Workplace Health and Safety Regulations 1998.
