Manual handling is about much more than just lifting heavy weights and affects more than a person’s back. Manual handling is any activity involving the use of muscular force (or effort) to lift, move, push, pull, carry, hold or restrain any object including a person or animal. The purpose of this course is to provide participants with the knowledge to evaluate and assess a working environment to allow work tasks to be carried out in a S.A.F.E manner.
