SKILLS SERVING IT UP RESPONSIBLY

Wednesday, 8 February 2012 - 9:52am

The Skills Institute has recently developed its long-standing course, Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol (SITHFAB009A), into an online unit.

Students can receive the same training and education as the face-to-face course, all in a ‘virtual classroom’ environment.

The extensive, nationally recognised 4.5 hour course teaches participants to:
• sell or serve alcohol responsibly
• assist customers to drink within appropriate limits
• assess alcohol-affected customers and identify customers to whom sale or service must be refused
• correctly refuse to provide alcohol.

People selling alcohol in Australia are legally required to have completed an accredited RSA course.
