If Calista McKinnell is any indication, the Tasmanian dental industry is in good hands.

At the 2011 Work and Training Awards held late last year, Calista won the Award for Emerging Potential in recognition of her achievements.

Skills Institute Dental Teacher Linda Thomas said Calista had been a model student since commencing her Certificate III in Dental Assisting Studies in 2010.

“It is a privilege to work with young people like Calista who are motivated, and it is a pleasure to see them receive recognition for their efforts,” she said.

After completing her traineeship in 12 months, Calista gained a permanent position with her host employer, further highlighting her professionalism and application to her studies.
