Trainers in Electrotechnology at The Skills Institute are proving it certainly makes a big difference to students when the people teaching them are dedicated and enthusiastic.
Colin Evans, 56, has successfully completed his CASPSTONE assessment in Electrotechnology, stating his success was largely due to the committed staff involved.
Electrotechnology is a high-tech industry covering all aspects of electrical, electronic, instrumentation and communication technologies.
“I am very grateful to Chris Schuecker who patiently guided me through the process. Without Chris’s persistence, I doubt the outcome would have been the positive experience it was,” Mr Evans said.
Colin’s engineering career has spanned over three decades and many countries, and he admits the prospect of returning to technical based study and formal assessment was initially daunting.
“Returning to my roots as a tradie is exciting and my thanks go to the Institute for allowing this goal to become a reality. The Skills Institute has provided the vehicle for me to achieve my goals,” Mr Evans said.
“My thanks go out especially to Chris and Ian Goff of the Electrotechnology department. Their dedication to the profession is admirable.”
